Touchdown!

New Jersey holds potential...potential weather! We disembarked at JFK this morning - 6:18am local time - and we were greeted by a wall of heat and a wave of humidity; by 7:00am the temperature outside had reached seventy-five degrees.
Seeing as New York's Kennedy Airport is well over two hours from Laura and Tim's house in Jersey, we had arranged a shuttle between JFK and Newark airport, where Laura would pick us up. The shuttle, however, wasn't scheduled to meet us until 8:00am, leaving us two groggy jet-setters to meander through the bustling airport for over an hour. Bagels, fruit, juice, and coffee were munched with gusto (Delta provided us with only the most meager rations), and baggage was quickly and uneventfully retrieved from the conveyor's grubby treads.
We easily met with the shuttle driver (who we'll now refer to as Evel), who whisked us away to Newark - with much rapidity and very little finesse, I'll add - where we found Laura within two minutes. We cruised home amid sparse raindrops and plentiful state policemen.
Greetings were given to the dog and bags were unceremoniously tossed aside, and the finer details of our trip were presented to our host. Lindsay received a quick tour of the house, complete with a introductory romp on the floor with the two four-week-old kittens (Dezi-gray and Luci-orange), and Andrew received the keys to the car. A sunroof- and turbo-filled test ride ensued, and both passenger and driver returned tousled and smiling.
We made tuna melts for lunch, and are now preparing for an afternoon shopping trip into town - which means Andrew gets to drive the new car again!

P.S. Lindsay saw a lightning storm in da skyyyyyyy in the plane over Iowa while everyone else was fast asleep. Wow. She is one cool chick. duh...

P.P.S. Lindsay stuck her torso out of the sun roof while Andrew drove hecka fast. I couldn't breathe because there was so much air flying into my mouff!!! :D
